SARAH + ANDREW - BERKELEY WEDDING, BRAZILIAN ROOM AT TILDEN PARK

Weddings and couples like these are why we LOVE the internet + social media. Adam + I met over Tumblr because of shared interest in the same band. Adam made other Tumblr friends, but hadn’t met in real life. Sarah + Adam followed each other on Tumblr for awhile because of the same band as us, From Indian Lakes. Well Sarah started following Adam on Instagram and followed Adam’s + my story. She started following our wedding Instagram account and reached out once her and Andrew got engaged!

We hadn’t met Sarah + Andrew til the day of their wedding, but they felt like old friends we’d known forever. These two emo indie kids fell in love and decided to get married in the bay area. Their wedding day was one for the books. It went from raining, to cloudy, to sunny, and overcast again. Their details were very unique to them and absolutely loved the thought that went into everything. They’re big fans of national parks + the outdoors and love how they incorporated it into their day.

Little did we know that Sarah + Andrew’s March wedding would be the last “normal” one of the year happening right before the pandemic began. There were already some guests who didn’t attend as COVID began buzzing before shutdowns started happening. They FaceTime-d those that weren’t able to make it, and that would become the new normal for our 2020 weddings + elopements.
